Scheduled Maintenance: System Accuracy Update

Date & Time: November 19, 2024, 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM CST

We will be conducting scheduled maintenance to apply important fixes aimed at improving system accuracy. This update includes addressing an issue in the ELD tab where the text 'Upgraded' incorrectly appears at the top of the Availability report and resolving an Integrations issue with the Cycle-Time Availability service occasionally showing early driver availability resets. Maintenance impact is expected to be minimal. A short 1-minute window may see temporary instability accessing the PeopleNet Fleet Manager, and new Cycle-Time Availability records may momentarily slow before returning to real-time operation.

Scheduled Maintenance: UD Resolution Fix

Date & Time: October 17, 2024, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM CST

We're conducting maintenance to resolve an issue affecting the UD Resolution page after the v12.12.1 update. This maintenance will address an issue where the 'Select All' checkbox and 'Won't Assign' button are not functioning properly. There will be minimal impact during this maintenance period.

Scheduled Maintenance: Performance Enhancement

Date & Time: October 16, 2024, 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM CST

We will be conducting scheduled maintenance to implement several important fixes to enhance the performance and accuracy of our system. The updates include updating APIs to allow restoring terminals, addressing an issue where driver logs were showing duplicated events with the same sequence ID, and addressing an issue where CMV power unit numbers were showing multiple identical entries, resulting in inflated Distance Driven values. There will be minimal impact during this maintenance period as we will ensure new services are working correctly before turning off the old ones.

During the weekly maintenance and patching window, internal services related to Video Intelligence website logins from the PFM will be patched. During this maintenance event, no downtime is expected.

Scheduled Maintenance: System Infrastructure Update

Date & Time: September 28, 2024, 8:00 PM - September 29, 2024, 12:00 AM CDT

This scheduled maintenance is necessary to ensure our system's continued performance and reliability. During the maintenance period, several services will be affected including the PeopleNet Fleet Manager Portal, Open Interface & Link Integration Services, Mobile-originated & Mobile Terminated Device Communications, Trimble Fleet Manager, and Instinct. The Video Intelligence hardware will continue to operate as usual, and ELD driver logins should remain available. All data will be queued internally, and no customer data will be lost during this event.

Scheduled Maintenance: ELD Performance Enhancement

Date & Time: September 4, 2024, 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM CDT

We will be conducting scheduled maintenance to implement an important fix to enhance the performance and accuracy of our system. The update includes a fix for an issue where log edits are not reflecting in the Availability or Violations report automatically. There will be minimal impact during this maintenance period. Communications may slow down for a few minutes but should quickly return to normal performance.

Scheduled Maintenance: Infrastructure Certificate Update

Date & Time: May 31, 2024, 8:30 AM - 8:50 AM CST

Our engineers will upgrade an infrastructure certificate. During this time, some customer services may experience disruptions or delays. The TFM portal logins and CX Support tool logins may be affected. Customers will be unable to create or update drivers and reset passwords during this time. Instinct log-ins may be delayed and Instinct Mobile Applications may not be accessible during this upgrade. Once the maintenance is completed, all the affected customer services will return to normal functionality.

To ensure uptime and stability, our carrier partner will be performing emergency maintenance to deploy service enhancements. During this maintenance, the LTE wireless service will remain operational, but you may experience occasional delays or brief disconnections on existing sessions. This affects LTE Wireless Network and hardware that utilizes LTE Network including PMG (PeopleNet Mobile Gateway), PCG (PeopleNet Connected Gateway), TG (Trimble Gateway), and Duo.

Scheduled Maintenance: Fleet Manager ELD Update

Date & Time: May 28, 2024, 8:00 PM - 8:30 PM CST

We will be performing a necessary maintenance update for the Fleet Manager ELD system. During this time, drivers and back-office administrators will not be able to submit data files for the first 20 minutes of the maintenance. This update is purely for maintenance purposes and will not introduce any new features or functionality.

Scheduled Maintenance: Internal Services Update

Date & Time: May 21, 2024, 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM CST

During the weekly maintenance and patching window, internal services related to billing and monitoring will be patched. Your PeopleNet Fleet Manager experience will not be interrupted during this maintenance event, no downtime is expected. This maintenance will only impact users with internal access to the old Drivers AOBRD tab and internal users managing monthly billing processes.

Scheduled Maintenance: Major System Update

Date & Time: April 27, 2024, 8:00 PM - 12:00 AM CST

Our system engineering team performed a significant maintenance event to improve and update our infrastructure. Multiple service components were affected during this four-hour maintenance window. The PeopleNet Fleet Manager Portal was inaccessible, including the VI Tab and ELD Tab. Open Interface and Link Integration Services experienced delays affecting Automated Workflow, Integration Messages, Location Overview, Driver Log Data, and other data transmissions. Mobile device communications with PFM or back office experienced delays, impacting functions like breadcrumbs, faults, finds, workflow messaging, and email messaging. The Trimble Fleet Manager experienced minor latency in data delivery, and Instinct's Driver Workflow and Vehicle Device Messaging saw transmission delays.

While Video Intelligence hardware continued to operate normally capturing real-time video data, access to Onboard Event Recordings (OER) and the VI video portal on both PFM and TFM portals was temporarily unavailable. All data was queued internally during the maintenance, ensuring no customer data was lost. After the maintenance, all services returned to normal functionality with improved system reliability and performance.

Third Party Maintenance: Service Enhancement

Date & Time: April 3, 2024, 9:00 PM CST - 11:00 PM CST

To ensure uptime and stability of our infrastructure, our Wireless Provider's engineers performed a maintenance activity that was completed on April 3, 2024, at 9:00 PM CST. Service enhancements were deployed successfully.

There was no impact to any LTE services during the activity.

Scheduled Maintenance: Patching Update

Date & Time: April 3, 2024, 10:00 AM CST

Trimble Transportation deployed updates to the Open Interface oi_pnet_driver_add and oi_pnet_driver_edit services on April 3, 2024, at 10:00 AM CST. This deployment involved removing AOBRD driver modifications, adding validation to ensure Driver IDs contain no spaces, and implementing additional validation to ensure Commercial Driver's License numbers contain no non-alphanumeric characters. No downtime occurred during this deployment.

We have successfully deployed refinements to the recently released login-initiated event. This deployment took place on April 3rd, 2024, from 9:45 AM until 10:15 AM CST.

Whats New: The Open Interface elog_events service can now be configured to return either the login-initiated event (which occurs just after the driver has entered credentials) or the existing login event (which occurs at the end of the login interview after shipment and trailer information has been entered). Most elog_events subscriptions are returning the standard login event. If you would like to switch to the login-initiated event, please contact integrationcases@peoplenetonline.com.

An update to the Fleet Manager ELD was successfully rolled out on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, starting from 8:00 PM and concluding at 9:00 PM CST. This update addressed an issue where the CSV Data file is incorrectly populating the M&D (Malfunctions and Diagnostics) section.

No downtime was expected during this update.

Our system engineering team successfully performed an upgrade on our firewall on March 30th, 2024, from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM CST. There was no expected downtime with this maintenance, and the deployment was completed without any issues. However, in the event of any unexpected downtime, our engineers had a rollback plan in place.

The minor deployment to update services supporting our PMG devices' migration to the cloud infrastructure, scheduled for March 23, 2024, from 10:00 AM CST to 11:00 AM CST, has been successfully completed. During this maintenance event, message and data transmissions between a mobile device and the PFM or back office may have experienced delays of 10 - 15 minutes. This included minor delays to functions such as breadcrumbs, faults, finds, workflow messaging, device messaging, and email messaging.

Date & Time: March 18, 2024, 2:15 PM CST

An update was implemented to fix the driver login issue that took place on March 18 (incident 3177). This issue arose due to driver sync inconsistency between v1 and V0 after CDL state code validation was included in V1. The update was successfully deployed at 2:15 PM CST on March 18.

Our Third-Party Wireless Network engineers executed a config change on the firepower firewall to enable MAC assignment before migrating the traffic to the new firepower firewall. During the activity, LTE data services were impacted for up to 30 minutes.
